Full matching planks
Best candidates for localized floor repairs, closets, pantry floors and other small areas where the original product is still compatible.
Long partial planks
These may work at row ends, transitions or narrow repair areas when the locking edges and stagger rules permit reuse.
Short offcuts
Short scraps can be useful for test fitting, color matching or non-floor decorative projects, but may not satisfy minimum end-length or locking requirements.
Square footage alone can overstate usable flooring
A pile may contain enough total area for a closet but still fail because the usable planks are too short, have damaged locking edges or cannot maintain the required stagger pattern.
